An application was made at Letterkenny Circuit Court to have the computer handed over to Gardai.State prosecutor Patricia McLaughlin said such computers are usually destroyed under the law. However she stated “Usually the application is to destroy it but Gardai want to use it for the training of officers in this type of thing,” she said.Judge John O’Hagan said he presumed it was the hard-drive of the computer which Gardai would be seeking to access. However he added “I think it is not a bad idea but I have a feeling I may not have the power (to hand the computer over to Gardai),” he said.He granted a destruction order on the computer but put a stay on it until further investigations are carried out.GARDAI SEEK PAEDOPHILE’S COMPUTER TO TRAIN OFFICERS IN SEX CASES was last modified: November 7th, 2013 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:courtsGardainewspaedophilepervertSex casestraininglast_img read more
