D’andre Keyshaun Moorer is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole when he is sentenced Dec. 21 by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rand S. Rubin. The alleged gunman, Donald Ray Shorts, is awaiting trial. D’andre Keyshaun Moorer, 29, was charged with first-degree murder, along with the special circumstance allegation of murder by discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle and a separate gang allegation. Jurors deliberated for about a day before announcing yesterday they had reached a verdict. Moorer, who allegedly was driving the car, faces a maximum of life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted. The alleged gunman, Donald Ray Shorts, 27, is still awaiting trial.
